CogniTrain, an Erasmus+ project on personalised digital cognitive training for older adults, started on 1 September 2026 and will run for 18 months.

CogniTrain started on 1 September 2026 and will end on 29 February 2028. It is an Erasmus+ project (KA210-ADU) with the full title “Enhancing Cognitive Resilience in the Elderly Through Personalized Training Interventions”.

Why it is needed

Many older adults, especially those living in remote areas, with limited resources or low digital literacy, face barriers to suitable cognitive training activities. CogniTrain is developing a more accessible, engaging and personalised digital option.

What is planned

  • a cognitive training curriculum with 10 modules and 3 exercises per module
  • 5 gamified training modules
  • a digital platform
  • user testing and support materials

Who is involved

  • Hellenic Alliance for Stroke (Greece): coordination and community outreach
  • Cyprus University of Technology (Cyprus): learning content and evaluation
  • Artificial Intelligence for Advanced Solutions – AI4 (Greece): development and testing of the digital platform

Next steps

The platform is planned to be ready for testing in May 2027. Results will be shared as they are completed and evaluated.
