The project
CogniTrain is developing a more accessible, engaging and personalised digital option for cognitive training for older adults in Greece and Cyprus.
The need
Many older adults, especially those living in remote areas, with limited resources or low digital literacy, face barriers to suitable cognitive training activities.
Two main barriers
- Access
- Rural location, limited resources and low digital literacy can restrict participation.
- Design
- Training needs to be easy to use, engaging and adaptable to different abilities.
Who it is for
The primary audience is older adults in Greece and Cyprus, including people with low digital literacy or barriers to accessing services.
The project is also relevant for:
- caregivers
- health professionals
- community centres
- organisations supporting older adults
The project's three goals

Support cognitive functioning and quality of life through regular training.
Adaptive platform
Develop a user-friendly platform that adapts activities to individual needs.
Sustained engagement
